Create your identity
The app generates keys on your device. Store your recovery phrase somewhere safe: you’ll need it to restore access.

Exchange invitations
Share an invitation with the person you want to talk to. Contacts are added through invitations.

Start a conversation
In the current alpha, a coordination server helps with delivery. Direct device-to-device connections are a future development step.

Reliability in real networks
Testing conversations across devices, retries, reconnection, and recovery after a lost connection.
Greater independence
Direct P2P connections and fallback delivery through trusted nodes. These capabilities are not yet ready for public use.
The alpha is a place to test ideas. Security and reliability still need validation; please don’t use Relaira for sensitive conversations yet.

Can I download the app yet?
There’s no public release or download yet. We’re currently testing the core Android experience. Details about the public version will appear on this website.
Is Relaira fully decentralized already?
Not yet. The current alpha uses a coordination server. Direct P2P delivery and fallback delivery through trusted nodes are part of the product vision, not capabilities we claim are ready today.
What if I lose my device?
Your recovery phrase can restore your identity. It does not automatically restore locally stored message history. Without the phrase, you won’t be able to recover access to that identity.
